Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s ‘I have a dream’ speech with a massive, FREE open-air event outside the Royal Festival Hall this summer.
An open-air collision of words, music and film celebrating an iconic moment in modern history. Gutsy choirs mix it with 21st-century beats, a new generation of film-makers dream 3D dreams and spoken word artists Hollie McNish, Salena Godden and Charlie Dark interrogate the power of speech. With a rare UK appearance by the legendary Last Poets.
With commission poetry films from Matin Luther kIN, Conrad Kira, Vanessa Kisuule, Rik Sykes and Deborah Stevenson and music commissions from Zena Edwards & Drew Horley and Dizraeli.
