London's H&T Camden team celebrates 5 years in the capital with feature performances from Rhian Edwards and 'Angry Sam' Berkson

In a sort of inexact way, it's been 5 years since H&T first brought its own brand of slam wonderousness to London.

Since then we have grown and grown and we'd love to invite you all to the Green Note to celebrate a night of big fat poetic joy and loveliness with the OPEN SLAM, as ever at the heart of what we do. Sign up on the door for a place, slammers get in at a reduced rate.

We utterly delighted to be featuring two of our favourite poets Rhian Edwards and H&T's own Angry Sam Berkson.

RHIAN EDWARDS
With her first collection Clueless Dogs shortlisted for Wales Book of the Year 2013 and the Forward Prize for Best First Collection 2012, Rhian is one of the very best poets performing and writing in the UK today. Rhian Edwards is one of the wittiest, funniest and darkest poets I have ever seen perform. She's wowed stages at festivals across the country, is a Latitude regular and we are REALLY lucky to have bullied her into coming qall the way down from Wales for H&T. Come on down and enjoy!

SAM BERKSON
To anyone who has been to Hammer and Tongue before, Sam Berkson will be a familiar name. Sam set up H&T Brighton before making Hackney his home and setting up another very successful H&T night at the Victoria in Dalston. Political, thoughtful, charged and comedic, Sam is rapidly becoming one of the most exciting and influential poetic voices in London. His widely acclaimed debut collection Life in Transit is published by Influx press.
