THEME: FOUND POETRY- INSPIRATION FROM THE EVERYDAY WORLD
From buses, trains and air tickets (where was the journey to and from, what do the words on the ticket say about YOU?), to overheard scraps of conversation, quotes from the famous and infamous, favourite passages from books, messages on billboards, scrawled on walls or discreetly displayed in shop windows.
This fun but focused workshop with poet Jenny Lewis will show how enjoyable it is to find inspiration for poems based on the everyday prompts that surround us - and might help to generate ideas for this year's National Poetry Competition (6th October 2016) for which the theme is 'Messages'.
