Our guests will be poet Tom Weir & singer/songwriter Sabrina Piggott.
Tom Weir's poetry often pays homage to his experiences living abroad (teaching English in Vietnam and Portugal), as well as the times he’s spent in remote parts of the English countryside.
He was highly commended in the 2014 National Poetry Competition and the 2015 Forward Prize. The Outsider won the 2014 Templar IOTA shots competition. His first full collection, All That Falling, was published by Templar in 2015.
Sabrina Piggott’s songs take her rich traditional music background from her ancestral home in the countryside of Cork, Southern Ireland and fuse it with modern industrial city sounds of her adopted Leeds and Yorkshire.
She has spent the last few years honing her material and live act, touring in Ireland, England and the USA. She has recorded an EP “Goosebumps” and work has already started on the accompanying album, due for release in 2016.
Entry: £5, £3 concessions
