JAWDANCE
Join us for London’s biggest open mic night! Whether you’re a poet who loves to write and perform, or an audience member who just wants to sit back, relax and listen, Jawdance is for you!
Each month, we'll bring you acclaimed feature acts in poetry and music; established artists and exciting newcomers, whose words will waltz ‘round your head for days. This month will be headlined by the innovative Hannah Silva, with a feature set from Kareem Parkins-Brown, and music from Lanre. All this completely FREE, and hosted by the incredible Yomi 'GREEdS’ Sode!
And, of course, not forgetting the renowned Jawdance open mic draw! Calling all poets, part-time poets, partial-to-an-open-mic poets, or even I’ve-written-what-I-think-is-a-poem-but-I’m-not-a-poet poets… Jawdance is your chance to share a stage with some of the biggest names in spoken word at East London’s very own independent arts venue, RichMix.
Always fun, always varied, always supportive! Sign up on the night from 7-7.30pm to enter your name into the open mic lucky dip draw. 12 slots up for grabs, maximum 3 minutes each, selected at random – what have you got to lose?
