Contrasting voices and styles with three talented poets of the region:
Eleanor Rees, an award-winning poet, will present her recent poetry of place, angry birds and wild suburbs. Currently working on her third collection, part of her PhD at Exeter University, she has published two collections with Salt: Andraste's Hair (2007), short-listed for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection and for the Glen Dimplex New Writers' Awards; and Elizabeth and the Bear (2009) which inspired the formation of a folk group.
Cath Nichols, former co-ordinator of the Dead Good Poets Society willl read from new work written since her Headland collection My Glamorous Assistant (2007) , Distance (2012) and Tales of Boy Nancy (2005). Cath is interested in 'bodies that do not toe the line', trans-gender and disability studies. She has a PhD from Lancaster University and teaches in Leeds.
Dave Bradley, a stimulating reader of his work , has been part of the North West poetry scene in recent years. His poetry is published in several anthologies and frequently online, notably on Writeoutloud.
