Leeds-based Derbyshire-born poet Matthew Hedley Stoppard is launching his debut poetry collection, A Family Behind Glass, published by Valley Press: www.valleypressuk.com/books/afamilybehindglass

The evening will include readings from the collection, alongside a performance by Wakefield punk poet and Skint & Demoralised frontman Matt Abbott, before he goes on a tour of summer festivals. www.youtube.com/user/SkintandDemoralised

There will also be poetry impersonation competition 'Bards in Their Eyes', which will feature six people doing their best impressions of famous wordsmiths, alive and dead. The prize is the much-coveted Words on Tap hamper. Limited slots left - contact Matthew to book a place.

Music comes from Monster Jaw frontman and psychedelic saviour Mik Davis (https://en-gb.facebook.com/MonsterJawOfficial ), and the night will be topped off by an acoustic performance courtesy of Hull-based art-rockers The Glass Delusion: www.theglassdelusion.com

Guests will receive free edible poetry-themed gifts and pub snacks, and Matthew Hedley Stoppard will sign books, underwear and anything else that absorbs ink.
