Poet in the City has formed an exciting partnership with Waterstone's bookshop, based in their flagship store in Piccadilly.
Waterstones is hosting a whole programme of Poet in the City Drop-In events at the store along with a variety of other live poetry readings.
Poet in the City's regular monthly participatory Drop-In events at Waterstone's are on the first Tuesday of every month.
These Drop-Ins are a fantastic way to reconnect with poetry. Uniquely informal and collaborative, they reflect Poet in the City's open and inclusive spirit and are a great way to attract new people to poetry.

A scar is something you go back to; a place that isn't quite the same. You can feel the difference. We're amazing in our ability to rebuild, but still so human in the limitations of our skin. There are bumps and shadows that form little reminders of a fall, an operation, a bite or break.
And in the landscape or the skyline things change, by force or accident, and we are stopped for a moment to think why, how.
In the memory of pain there is a thicker, knotted, not so supple skin that grows over. But it does grow over.
This event is free and open to everybody. Guests are invited to read their favorite poems or poems they have written themselves, exploring the theme, or to simply come along and listen.
The drop-in will be hosted by the poet Racker Donnelly.
Entry: Free
