Liverpool Poetry Cafe presents:
A sparkling evening of performance with John Gorman, Sue Boardman and Martin Daws
John Gorman's inimitable double act with Sue Boardman is hugely entertaining, a feast of words, wit and wisdom. John Gorman, celebrated former member of the Scaffold, is a poet, scriptwriter, vocalist, musician and television performer. He is the Founder and Director of Wirral Festival of Firsts, now the ever-burgeoning Wirral International Festival of the Arts. John also initiated the Young Laureates of Wirral scheme.
Martin Daws, whose performances of his poetry and 'improvised' poems, are described as 'electrifying', 'mesmerising', 'not to be missed', currently lives in North Wales. A Slam Champion, runner-up in the John Tripp Spoken Poetry Award, he has recently been appointed the Welsh Laureate for Young People, works in schools and the community, and has a CD/pamplet, Skin Tight the Sidewalk.
