Like and comment much appreciated.
I hadn't truly realised what I was doing until it was carefully pointed out.
Today, I shall attempt to stay calm

Thanks for your comment Brian on my unusual chess match

Your samples are the best of your work I have seen so far. I somehow missed them.
Have you just added them?

Hey Brian, that was great.
In particular the verse on WESTONBIRT ARBORETUM.
I could really visualize those middle-class wankers with their fancy-named spoilt kids.
Keep it coming !

I take credit for the poem...
i also take the blame!

This is bloody masterful mate.
I wish I wrote it.
I am trying to catch up

The Joys of Doing a Jigsaw
You'll notice that this poem doesn't rhyme.
The jigsaw nearly drove me crackers. Xmas pun intended.

The girl next door
what can I say
when she saw me
she moved away!

I'm truly flattered if/when anyone takes the time to comment on something I've written.
I'm a big believer that if I write a poem that rhymes, it should also have a rhythm. I also find that it makes it more suitable for reciting.
Again, thanks for your interest

including the mail. 😃

Hello Brian - I commented on your "First" blog yesterday
(Saturday) afternoon but now it seems my wit has not been
appreciated on WOL and is nowhere to be seen.
Humour is not always a laughing matter, it seems.

People seem full of life
But they're dead behind the eyes...
You my friend have eye for detail and a voice for much much more.
Thu 15th Nov 2018 13:54
thanks for the comments on 'a poppy in winter' Brian - I do think the amount of poppy colours is getting a little silly - but the red is for remembrance and the white is for peace and the rest is for personal choice - the very thing that was fought for - so I'm OK with it - better to remember something than nothing at all
Tue 6th Nov 2018 15:18
thanks for the comment on 'that which autumn leaves' Brian - an oldie but goldie adapted from a short story I wrote years ago

Thanks Brian for liking my piece "I can tolerate Death". I like your work too! Writing about the things you love and doing it your way, without being pompous and pretentious makes you pretty unique! Kudos!

I did not think tennis boys went shopping.
Tue 18th Sep 2018 23:42
But Brian "Me" that is its 'its'.
And I know that you will
shiver with recognition
because of your poignant
(It's all me, me, me Tommy!- Brian's post) tc

Dec got rid of his ants?
what does that mean?
is Dec male or female or trans?
Mon 10th Sep 2018 05:56
Gosh! Brian you're a dumping
A dumping hole for comments
Have you dug hole deep enough?
(My verse it does make no sense)
I came here looking for
Some gem to take away
But stumbled on these comments
I bloody lost my way
What more can I say? ....
I have been sidetracked nicely
I should be pulling weeds
Or getting off the carpets
Vacuum cleaner feed
Gotta stop Brian 😎

Thank you for your comments on 'Role Reversal' Brian. I wrote this several years ago after watching something about young carers on Tv. I caught something on TV last week about young carers and it reminded me of the poem so I felt I would share it.

Your scary photo

a Kung Fu poet
in our midst.

Can't judge a book by its cover Tommy!
Fri 24th Aug 2018 12:17
Going to have to point it at some stage..thanks Brian 😂
Thu 23rd Aug 2018 16:04
Thank you for the comments on 'Total Tosser' - very much appreciated. I'm glad the inclusion of the c-word didn't break your chilled time on holiday. Hope ou had a great time in Holland. Did you work on the poem 'Holiday in Holland'? - it definitely cries out to have something written, though I understand that what happens in Holland often stays firmly in Holland.
Sorry for the slow reply.
Tue 21st Aug 2018 04:46
haha. my mistake.
my life is full of them.
Sun 19th Aug 2018 20:54
thanks for your kind comments on 'screaming blue murder' Brian - I don't expect everyone to like my particular political view - that's not why I post - but thanks you for seeing some merit in the form - if not necessarily all of the message :-)
Fri 17th Aug 2018 13:42
Thank you Brian for commenting on "Who Am I". I like that your remarks always carry positive energy!
...and yes, a small little fire to call my own perhaps on a little beach out in the middle of nowhere together with my girl Cristi, Woof😊
Wed 15th Aug 2018 14:09
Cheers for the comment Brian. I think I was the generation between CB radios and Chatrooms, but the need to broadcast your life to the entire world has always puzzled me (my FB account is a wasteland). Maybe the need for Drama to justify your existence isn't a new thing, it's just more visible.
I really appreciate you taking the time to read it, though. Much appreciated.
Tue 14th Aug 2018 20:26
