There is much to admire in this poem, and much that is contradictory. I think the 'writer' needs to take a positive stand. Must he find the needed strength to continue daily living from 'outside influences'? Or can he raise, access acceptance and understanding from the depths of his own attitudes and personal courage?
This internal battle is with us all, all the time. Keep exploring, and certainly keep writing.

Hahaha, I do find a lot of my pieces do that, and it frustrates me. I find that by the end, it either twists in a way which feels a little awkward, or it begins to contradict itself. This is because I use writing as an outlet, and usually by the time I near the end of a poem, I gain a clear mind and my thoughts change a little. I apologize for any changes that are difficult to follow, I think it's just my writing style, and it bothers me as well haha
