Oh! if only.

At a very local level, this has been our experience.

After an eighteen-month brutal battle with our local Planning Department, We felt exhausted and defeated, it was too much for us at our age and it literally ended in tears.

I admire the spirit of your poem but the spirit can get worn down.

As working-class and elderly it was evident that we had no voice, with money we could have used a solicitor, without one we were helpless. We tried - we cried - the planning agent lied.

The world belongs to the richest.

Yeah but it's a "Trickle Down Economy", so everybody'll get their fair share eventually............won't they............?
