Oh I do miss the woolworths. Must have been a nightmare stocktaking those stores back in the day. The best shop for pick and mix and blue khol eyeliner?. I actually got quite excited when I heard it was coming back but then I found out it was a hoax.

Thanks for reading Julie. It was more like a way of life I remember - something for everybody. Poundland can't hold a candle to it IMO. I even remember when they had gas globes on the ceilings. Giving my age away, I wish somebody would take it!
