Biography

Nowadays the gap between what a person desires to pursue and what they actually end up doing is widening. Considering this, nothing would be better than being a master of your own interest. Being a philanthropist in the early stages, Ibegan my journey towards the desire to serve the society in order to question and eradicate the most prevalent stigmas attached to the least explored and discussed topics such as incest, sexuality, transgender, and many more such issues. In order to achieve this goal, it was pivotal to build a theoreticalfoundation.I therefore pursued Bachelor’s in Social Work from Aligarh Muslim University in 2015 that further helped me to develop a deeper insight into the society and the issues that surround it. While doing my graduation I undertook a research study that aimed to explore how economic stability builds social status. During my fieldwork I had extensively worked with women SHGs in SEWA Lucknow that created more curiosity in me and also connected me with ground realities. My inquisitiveness and passion furtherdrove me to pursue my post-graduation in Social Work. This expanded my horizons to build knowledge and also to contribute to the existing knowledge base by carrying out research on topics that are of concern to the society and the mankind. One such research study was undertaken by me this year that aimed to explore the unpleasant experiences of adolescent girls residing in Okhla, New Delhi. The findings from this research study highlighted the issue of violation of human rights, in this case the right to live with dignity and the right to health. My fieldwork and internship experiences have by and large dealt with human rights issues and therefore my area of interest lies within the purview of human rights. To counter the stigma and injustice that exists in the society, understanding and awareness of human rights and mobilization of communities is imperative. In order to achieve my aim of working for the empowerment of the communities who are neglected and marginalized, i want to write to bring awareness. . I firmly believe that social media nowadays have massive impact on masses and it would provide to me the best platform to procure that experience and exposure. This association with WRITE OUT LOUD would equip me with the necessary skills and knowledge that would help me become a better human rights writer/poet and contribute to this society in a better way.
