TIDAL WAVE OF LOVE When the tidal wave of love comes I know where I’ll be, I’ll be hiding in my bunker Hands over my ears, Vomiting into a bin Screaming, “NO, THIS ISN'T HOW IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE.” It happens every 50 years In this seaside town The locals stand on the beach And tourists are banned, Then the tidal wave comes And people fall in love. The fools don’t know That you can’t force love, Love isn't easy You work hard at it, Change your life And for what? A sly put down That hurts more than A direct blow. A snigger in bed That fucks your mind Then the alarm clock is the enemy And you’re shy at work. No, You have to work hard for that, You earn it. This tidal wave is a joke. The crowd that stood out (Like the solar eclipse) Will regret it in months. And the French kisses in the sun And sex on the beach Will pale in comparison To the compromised weekends On who’ll have the kids. The fools don’t know That with accomplished love You can achieve the same. When I crawled out from my hide I was glad I wasn't there Missing out on all the mess, Kids, divorce, and (yes) murder. I saw it just in time To see a war break out, Male Vs Female. As they were fighting and fucking And reproducing I crawled back into my bunker, Hands over my ears, Vomiting into a bin.
