Biography

I am well traveled, and well educated, having a university degree in motivational psychology. As well as several collage diplomas in Public Relations and crisis communications management, and Business Management Studies. I am multi-talented and have a good sense of humour. I have acquired many years of experience in public speaking and leadership management. I am a certified genealogist, with many years of experience doing research. I have a talent for, and enjoy writing, when I'm in the mood! To date I have written and published three non-fiction books, a copy of one resides in the National Library and archives of my country. I have also over the years written several non-published books of poetry for my own enjoyment I have an incessant apatite for reading. It is not uncommon for me to have more than one book on the go at any given time. I enjoy photography and am a relatively good photographer. Having in the past labored in the field. I have a love of gardening and have a natural talent for horticulture; I enjoy working with my hands fixing or building things, particularly with wood. From an early age I have worked with animals. Between the Fall of 2003 and June of 2016 I operated a small home and pet-sitting business. Prior to starting my pet-sitting service I owned and operated a pure breed dog (Afghan Hound) Kennel. Growing up I was taught that each of us has a moral obligation to contribute something back into the community where we live. Throughout my life I have endeavored to meet this moral obligation. And while my community involvement and contributions have change over the years as my life circumstances have changed, my dedication to community support and involvement has never wavered.

A reminder to Myself! 'Who am I?' This is a question That we all have to ask ourselves at some point in time. And I am no different! Many times in my life the answer has come back a different one than the one before. As I have traveled through this adventure we call 'life,' I have grown and changed and redefined that which I call "ME'! As I have reinvented myself, I have had to be very careful never to lose that core 'me' that is the person that my family and friends love and respect. However, while my core beliefs have evolved. they have not in essence changed. My moral anchors have stayed pretty much the same. And my belief in a guiding spirit has remained fixed as it was when I first formulated the basis of what I believe in. Over the years I have added people to my life who have changed me in ways that have caused me to substantially re-think who I was. And that process has grown me and made me a much more stable and happier person. The process of growth has at times been painful and sometimes very drawn out, but it has always been worth the time, effort and expense. The added 'value' of what my relationships have meant to my life are now the single most important component of what defines 'ME"! My professional career has over time has changed, and in ways that have sometimes been most dramatic. Those changes have once again caused me to re-think who I was as well. I have come to realize that for 'good' or 'evil' in this world, what you do defines your place in the social order. At various stages in my life I have been at the top of my field, and at the bottom just starting out. And the changes in my perception of myself and my place in society's social order have not always been pleasant. Always, through this voyage we call "life," and its changes, I have had to remind myself of who I am and what I stand for. Now, once again, I am at a crossroad in my life and things are changing fast! Often I have to struggle to hold on to who and what I am! I have always had the ability, or problem, of tending to become as those around me are, or are perceived, and of mimicking their mannerisms and habits. So that I have to struggle with myself to hang on on to my own 'self' and my identity. I must hang on to that within me that is my core, my love and devotion to my children and grandchildren, my freedom of thought, my love of my friends and family, and my spiritual beliefs. So, this is a note to myself, remember who you are! Revel in the sense of yourself and give others the unique and precious gift that is the true you! For we are all specials and worth knowing when we are aware of who we are and how we became that way! 2000/06/03 -30-
