Stitch by stitch This story is woven Through time immemorial By the women of the world Strong women, And weak women, And strong women who are weak. By those who had power and those who had none. By those who lost themselves within the maze of accusation and blame and guilt and who were bruised and battered by the barrage of words that left them different. And less. Less than before. Less than they thought they were. Less than they deserved to be. A blanket that covered them and suffocated them.
