All I see is a mist of darkness, With nowhere to thread my feet in, In World where there is absence of kindness, I see a light of hope so thin. I can’t go on; my body and my soul are giving in, There’s no fire in belly to seek reasons for my quest, With efforts and motivation of my kith and kin, Now, I go along the path where the birds fly in the air so clean. Then, I arrive at the gates of my fear ; the scar of defeat is still fresh, My feet start to disobey my heart; I felt all alone a soul, And I saw you in the ray of light; my strive afresh, A voice so familiar like you call. From here, I won’t look back; the quest of a yard so long, Fighting the patriarchy ; claiming what’s been denied prolong, We are, at the brink of being unknown; buried, burned, and killed in the womb, No one cares or asks who are we to suffer these, A day will arrive, there will not be palaces but tombs, And, they will cry and say ” Save us for God’s sake, please! “
