Biography

I'm MIHIKA AGARWAL, an 18 year old girl, who is fond of writing poetry. for me poetry is a way of expression, a form that connects the brain and the heart. One of my poems, MIRROR, was recited at the loud women show in Bangalore, which was the reason that poetry became a talent from a hobby!

MIRROR she looked into the mirror, She saw someone else there, When she walked nearer, Someone stood there thin and fair. It was her own reflection, on the other side, Just a prettier version, She always imagined inside. She touched her face, And pulled her hair, Wishing all could be replaced, But this is reality she was aware. She touched her curves, And touched those marks, As closely as she observes, Tears drop on those nasty remarks. they said,“Your so fat!” and she broke within, Silently she said,”I’m all flat…, Beneath my skin.” She looked into the mirror, And looked at that someone, Wish she could hear her, And wish she could just become one.
