Biography

I have written poetry, lyrics; in reality brain spews, for over thirty years. It has always been a deeply personal and cathartic exercise. Basically I thought stuff it and have decided to put some of my ramblings into the public domain.

Within limitations You; between the devil and the deep blue sea Me; between the ceiling and floor You; with your presence in the wide open spaces Me; in the cupboard behind the door Our disparity lays in the way you move A text book contrast of shade You can soar and fly beyond me now A man who loves you but is starting to fade Me; clawing at the debris and the scraps You; feed the yearning multitude Me; with my spirit in corners and basements You; an explosion of the love you exude Our sanctuary lies in the time that we spend At the threshold the world's mangled mess When our time is called and all can be told Then we'll scythe through the jungle and express ------------------------------------------------------ My Gilded Benign Senses My gilded benign senses Invesigate the cause Of inestimable consideration Through sacrificial doors Return to key the time bomb That keeps resisting fate And building all your forces In metal sheets of hate Lay down upon my centre Mine my very core You're dredging and you're panning An infallible consuming ore Drain unacknowedging heathens Of all they dare to say If any care to venture To yours and mine today A sight of all the chasms They'll fight to generate Is futile to becalmed angels Of our beheightened state Do attempt to guess the nature Crying to a force above Contemplate these episodes Of pure unrelenting love Distill the perils of our fancy And exorcise these claims Fuck the world's adhesions For immunity to wanes Caress the ultimate produce Which cannot be possessed Because its underbelly Is lined with a steely crest And finally the reasoning Can castigate the flames When observing of our bubble Where nothing jabs or shames A world that would be illusion To untrained eyes and ears For us is ours forever And we are moving through the gears --------------------------------------------- A Petal Flutters A petal flutters spirralling Through the upper air Like a breath upon a snow drop Or a sigh upon a care Frequent a domain of ages Bestow your presence there Gently light your scented candle To show that you're aware You see i've always loved you An inheritance to share Like a gift from all our ancestors Of their collective love we bear ------------------------------------- No-one Like Me Sands of mine I'm sifting It's a melancholy scheme A mechanism of lifting Just to keep alive the dream Sacrifice has started a taste upon my lips Can I start believing just by taking tiny sips Where did you go to And what did you see Millions of people But no-one like me Please don't say it just imply Not another minute, believe the lie Don't just rent go on and buy Not another minute I hear you cry Please don't rent, go on buy Spit it out I hear you cry Didn't see the blossom yesterday The thawing from a single Sunday And here's the other extreme Flying high over all that I've missed whilst cursing my rotten luck The key was in my pocket all the time I'd just forgotten where to look Send the weatherman home cause i don't need him anymore Stardust and sunshine are the only lasting downpour But like the toll of a bell A reminder of the he'll That I've been through so long No warning of recall I start to plunge and fall But wait, the well's not deep, they're wrong..... I am home
