Biography

I am an artist as well as writing poetry and I use my art and poetry to make artists' books. I work on ways of bringing words and my poetry into my visual art not as description but as an integral part of a single response. The resulting book is an artefact in its own right.

Samples

Closure She knew by heart the meaning of the many words for snow. It was her feet that betrayed her. No longer responding to the creak and crack of crevices. Reluctant to take the next step she knew they were telling her to go. Inside the snowhouse discussions take place. Opaque black eyes glancing off the flat planes of her face. Icey fingers loosen the ties that kept her warm through all her winters. Outside the snowhouse the melt begins. It is time to stop moving, time to go and find another word for snow.
