If I were a boy, would my mind seem wider? Would my life feel safer? Would the world stop pushing me away like an outsider? Would I be less afraid of strangers? If I were a boy, I clutch my keys loser at night? Would my mirror look friendlier? Would the jokes have less of a bite? Would my footsteps sound heavier? If i were a boy, would I be able to wear what I desire? Without being sexualised? Or catcalled? Or stared at? My life being a woman is like a fire, constantly being put out. I mean, without gender, pink would just be a colour. and heels would just be a type of shoe. But the reality is, we won’t ever have a world without anger. So, I suffer with something I’m not able to control.
