Biography
Khurshed Mahim – The Poet of Soul and Soil Khurshed Mahim is a Bangladeshi poet whose verses flow from the heart of Gazipur, where nature, spirituality, and humanity converge. Born on June 8, 1993, Mahim holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the National University of Bangladesh, yet his true passion lies in weaving words into meaning. Deeply influenced by Jibanananda Das’s quiet melancholy and Kazi Nazrul Islam’s fiery spirit, his poetry explores themes of nature, inner awakening, human dignity, and the ephemeral nature of worldly attachments. His works often echo a longing for purity in the soul, freedom from material illusions, and compassion for the forgotten lives around us. Though he has not yet published a book, Mahim’s poems have already touched many readers through digital platforms. He writes not for fame but to awaken reflection and light within. Living a simple life with his sister, niece, and beloved wife, Khurshed Mahim continues to write with a pen fueled by silence, sincerity, and a love for truth. His words are not merely poetry—they are a call to the heart.
The Illusion of Wealth
Let go of wealth’s binding chain, Free your heart from selfish gain. None of this is truly yours— All shall vanish, all restores. Gold and silver once you took, But dust will hold them in its nook. Break the ties of fleeting things, Only then the spirit sings. Mountains of gold may come your way, But greed builds bridges that decay. No one stays forever near, All must end at death’s frontier. In wealth’s illusion pain resides, Let go the lure that always hides. Only when you free desire— Will your heart in peace retire.
