Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

Information

Friday Night Writers presents book launches, readings and open mics in the Swiss Cottage Library art gallery. If you read your poetry or prose in the open mic session at each event you’ll have a chance to submit to the annual Friday Night Anthology, published by Ward Wood. The first anthology will appear in June 2012 from this year’s readings. Events are for writers, fiction and poetry lovers, and bibliophiles. Doors open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start. Friday Night Writers is for both poetry and prose and you don’t have to be a writer come and join us. There will be plenty of time to socialise and make friends, admission is free with a small donation to the library if you would like wine, and there’s also a library cafe for coffee and other refreshments. If you would like to read then bring a poem up to 40 lines or short prose up to 1,000 words. Flash fiction and prose poetry up to 500 words will be especially welcome. Just put down your name as you arrive and we’ll call you up. To be considered for the anthology put your contact details on your poem or prose and leave it with us at the end of the event. Friday Night Writers is organised by North London author and publisher Adele Ward in Swiss Cottage Library.
