Just starting out with a poetry group in Goole, quite new to the art of spoken word but enjoying the ride....
Food Struggles Chocolate, crisps 'n chunky chips Pies 'n pastries 'n oh god the size of my hips Even while I'm shoving food in I'm thinking bout pizza and a sausage mcmuffin n' dollops of ice cream in a big round tub Bugger to the inevitable chub rub. Ah flippin 'eck another spare tyre All brought on by my junk food desire. My favourite food 's gotta be steak 'n ale pies But they're what's responsible for these thunder thighs I can see you thinking maybe I should try a salad But as I look at it arranged like some kind of healthy ballad Unappealing and also revealing upon my dull insipid plate That fat is probably my fate!
