As a tribute to ALL Mothers who selflessly love and work for their children, I dedicate a poem that I wrote for my Mother at the age of 10. She worked for 54 Yrs and inspired me to Never Give Up! She worked very hard - 15 hours a day, juggling three jobs then, because dad was always very very ill and we gave everything in vain to save his life. But she was always cheerful and full of energy and the rock of our family! I did not know what to give her in return or how to reward her as I was just her little boy. I had no money but I had words, I thought...It took me days to get it together and with hiding the paper under my bed! Finally I made her smile with my first tribute to her..."MOTHER". Mild is her temperament as she does her part, Oh God! you gave her a wonderful heart! Tireless she strives from morning to night, Her motto is to see her babes' future bright. Ere the sun sets, tirelessly does she, Render assistance to man, bird and me. She always kept it by her bedside. I left home at 15, traveled the world and chased rainbows ever since then. She worked since the age of 21 as a teacher, refusing to give up till she dropped at 75 and slowed down ever since. It is now a faded piece in her album...
