And God Sat in Silence

I see him in the pews, God's people, stuck, in the echo chamber of damnation. He looks away. I see him approach the boy in the corner during service. The boy begs to be anything but what he is and cries, Jesus wept with him. I see him in our church, He sits in silence as the pastor yells for repentance; He too is afraid of his creation. I hear the church body call out to the boy, "Jesus is love. His love is unconditional. Repent or burn." And the boy turned his back on the lord. I see him off in the distance, watching. God's people cry out "Where are you, God? Where is the love?" The echo speaks more than they ever listened.
