Biography

Donna Pucciani was born in Washington D.C., grew up in New Jersey, and received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Humanities from New York University. She taught English, music, humanities and women's studies for four decades. Widely published on several continents, she is the author of four books, with a fifth forthcoming. She lives and writes from the Chicago area and frequently visits Manchester with her husband, a Mancunian native.

Samples

Eyelight Ever since the operation, her closed eyes triggered an explosion of light, the sun invading her darkness, the dark becoming fire. Candles everywhere, the flicker of madness. How long would it last? How could they have taken away her night?
