As my hunger grows Fruits of my labor start to rot The stream of my consciousness Cannot quench my thirst My feet ache As I race to the finish Arms grow weary From the pump Back and forth As I advance to third It forces me to think for a second Am I a train on wooden tracks? Is my motive loco? Is this life What’s my purpose? Longer I run The distance to finish grows Is it an illusion? A mirage Am I constricted by an anaconda? Caught in the revenge f roman Am I Nicki Minaj Naw I’m just a lost missionary A blind visionary Looking for that which cannot be found Suffering from malnutrition A hunger never satisfied Can ten cents a day cover it? Or is it more morality genocide More perms fried and laid to the side More mamas have cried More leaders have died But physical death is not the greatest loss It is what dies inside while still Alive Never Surrender
