Biography

Pen Name: Cassiel Age: 18 Location: Pennsylvania, USA Hey there, poetry lovers! I'm Cassiel, an 18-year-old wordsmith hailing from the beautiful state of Pennsylvania. I've been entranced by the power of language for as long as I can remember, and my journey as a writer began when I first picked up a pen and let my thoughts spill onto paper. Poetry, for me, isn't just about words on a page; it's a journey of self-discovery, a way to navigate the complexities of life, love, and everything in between. Whether I'm weaving together intricate metaphors or painting vivid imagery with my verses, every poem I craft is a reflection of my innermost thoughts and emotions, or a story that I've crafted. As a proud member of the WriteOutLoud community, I'm thrilled to share my work with fellow poetry enthusiasts and connect with like-minded souls who share a passion for the written word. So come join me on this poetic adventure, where every stanza is a step closer to understanding ourselves and the world around us. Let's write our stories out loud, one line at a time. - Cass

First poem I've ever written Sweet Little Baby Sweet, little baby in a world full of pain. Why do you believe that anything is going to change? The people in this world will always stay the same. Your dreams lay next to you, shattered and slain. Keep your eyes down and your head hung low Do not talk too fast or move too slow They are fragile bombs waiting to blow The bombs will eventually explode and you will be 6 feet below. Sweet little baby, walk with me through the night As the stars look like diamonds, shining so bright Do not give up you need to fight As the shadows reign upon you, continue to cast your light Sweet little angel, now you rise into the sky Tears stopped trickling and your eyes are now dry You are finally at peace as you continue to fly I will continue to fight for you until the day that I die
