Biography

I had felt like I wasn't creative for years after writing so much beforehand so I stopped. I started back writing Dec 2023 posting motivational quotes on Instagram to ease myself back into writing creatively and now July 2024 I had gain the confidence to post myself saying my poetry. I'm venturing out of my comfort zone even more with considering posting my words on poetry blogs, but I feel like this is a great step for me to explore the creativity of poetry as a whole and expand my network with others who enjoy poetry as well.

Growing up black I didn't have a choice but to work nonstop Once I learned how to walk and talk Being Independent was the only thing I was taught If I groaned here comes a lecture If I was tired here comes another A break is not instilled in us And anything we accomplish is not enough I grew up with these ideals we've never seen on paper but heard by ear And when we move away our world expands And most things become clear That a break is necessary And its nothing to fear
