Biography

Anirudh Ajaykumar Sathe was born on 17th December 1989 in the city of Nagpur. Education played a major part in the upbringing that his family had endowed him with and Anirudh was exposed to literature in an early part in his life. Even then, in the days of his concomitant exposure to literature and before Anirudh sought out the words in the world that had enticed him he had been allured by the great escape subliminal to the works of the poets of the bygone era. Anirudh was particularly attracted to the works that celebrated and adorned nature. And while growing up, it was works such as “The Solitary Reaper” by William Wordsworth or “The brook” by Alfred, Lord Tennyson and “IF” by Rudyard Kipling that had had a resonating effect on Anirudh. Though the most pronounced piece of literature in his life and the one he most followed was “The Quiet Life” written by Alexander Pope. That poem had had a marked effect on Anirudh’s life. A little ways down the road Anirudh read “The Alchemist” written by Paulo Coelho. And was gripped by the frenzy that that book had injected in the world. And the Alchemist coupled with another great book namely “Ishmael” written by Daniel Quinn was what spurred Anirudh to complete his first novel “Terrarium”. Written on or hoped to have been written along the same lines of “The Alchemist” and “Ishmael” the book that he has written, dabbles in its fair share of experiences on the metaphoric plane in its pages.

Ode to the Dreamers For us, are the highest mountains, For us, are the deepest valleys, For us, are the lush green pastures, For us, is the evergreen spring, For ours is a hunted breed For ours is the troubled kind For we live in the world, yet never with it For we know of humanity, yet never of humans For we live at the edge of oblivion For we spread our wings and fly towards the horizon For we are crushed, yet never crumble For we inch ourselves, yet never give up For we have anguished, yet never languish For we dream in the dark with our eyes open For we never lose sight of the setting sun For we pay the price in every breath we draw For we stand our ground and never withdraw Ours is the world for today and forever Ours is the world from dusk till dawn Ours is the kind that will persevere Refined in the furnaces of this world Ours is the kind that will shine Anirudh Sathe
