Biography

I write what I feel. I've only ever written for myself before, but I thought it was time to be brave and share it with others. My favourite poets/lyricists are Lana Del Rey and Carol Ann Duffy, and it was studying War Poetry for that really made me see the impact poetry can have.

The Ring Dark like his heart and glistening silver It shines and it beckons just waiting to fool her She's seduced by the light so the darkness within Creeps out and takes over dripping with sin The light is soon gone, only darkness remains It doesn't take long before she feels the pains Of anger and fear, violence and aggression And soon she finds out that she's it's possession She hurts but the light continues to flicker And fools her so that she thinks it could be her Who can be a saviour, battle demons within But they're not her own and so she can't win Exhausted she knows that she cannot fight If it's not her monster; she turns to the light Her wounds can heal now, she begins to feel sane The darkness is gone, but the scars still remain.
