i was at said gig (though I missed the first half due to having other stuff on) - i did however, arrive in time to hear your killer line about being in the enviable position of doing and saying exactly what you wanted at that stage i the comp - pure class - and judging by the swell of laughs, it was well received.

Of the performances i did see - and the event - i was impressed

Dominic was a worthy winner - though i did not feel there to be any losers : )

All this and the mic stand sub-plot delivered with such aplomb by Julian made for a goodly evening
