Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

Renga

Here are the lines we wrote together. How about trying to recycle them, or some of them, into a new poem?

I have had a go, as an example.

A haiku flows around a rock,
Jolly jogging jaggers journeying
Words that can elicit a laugh
or even the murmuring ahh!
The random pram sped past,
I glimpsed surprised rosy cheeks
and a trailing blanket
Is love something too hot to touch
When close,
But rather warm oneself by
From a distance
The heartbeat of poetry
Words splash into the pool like the frog
Surrounded by a thousand books
As if frozen in time
Haiku loses nothing in translation

To do so, add the new version as a comment (post a message). It is a good idea to keep a copy before uploading!

Random words trailing
Into a thousand haiku.
Winter heartbeat frozen.

Another go, this time trying to use all of the original words

I'd love to see yours!

Journeying,
A murmuring translation
flows
around a rock,
trailing a love,
blanket too hot to touch,
when close,
but rather warm oneself by,
from a distance.

The heartbeat of poetry:
Words splash into
the pool like a frog
that can elicit a laugh
or even the murmuring ahh!

The random pram sped past
Jolly jogging jaggers.
I glimpsed, surprised
rosy cheeks
Surrounded by a thousand books
As if frozen in time

Haiku loses nothing in translation
