Poetry Scrabble
As I promised a couple of people, here's my poetic version of scrabble!
Use a normal scrabble board. Agree the rules re extra points for poetic content (50 extra points, double points, whatever) awarded for any of the following you want to include in the game....
1. poetry related words (Stanza, ode etc)
2. a word that rhymes with another on the board
3. A lovely sounding word (could even be made up, like "frizzle"). Can cause laughter or argument. A referee or consensus from other players needed!
Finally, when all tiles have been played each player or team has a set time (5 - 10 mins?) to come up with a poem using as many of the words on the board, bonus points awarded for each one!
