Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

Middleton 23rd November

Last night was at once a joyous and sad affair. We were all delighted to hear Chris' first ever poem but saddened that it was our final night at The Olde Boar's head of 2008...sniff....

There was a great turn-out and the usual mix of laughter, tears, ranting and raving and poetry which made us all stop and silently consider the world.

The feedback that was recieved on the night was:

Positives: the cake, inspirational, always good, Gemma's cakes, always a pleasure, too short, fine night, great night.

Areas for improvement: a less spoonerisable pub name (geddit now Paul?!), too hot, want Paul in a pinny, ask bar staff to wait on us, turn heating down.

Not sure about the waiting on us but I do agree that Paul should wear a pinny next year!

Another set of fab photos taken by Seamus Kelly to follow.

Hi Gemma

Sorry I missed your reading at the Kulture Klub. Had to leave. Unavoidable I'm afraid

I must get along to one of your nights in 2009, sounds great. Two good reasons must be

1) To see the Paul in the pinny. I presume he is allowed to wear his other clothes undernieth.
2) To wallow in the heat. The last two WOL nights I have attended have been freezing - The Whole in the Hall and the Tipsy's Gent !

Best Regards

Winston

What is all this nonsense about me in a pinny? Who suggested that?
No self respecting Sikopath would be seen dead in such a garment on the other hand...hmmmm

The photos are up in Galleries - thanks Seamus
