I've been laid low with a really bad cold (heard all the quips about man-flu, this one really is BAD!). Sitting here reflecting, which is about all I'm capable of doing, it occurred to me that in this state I couldn't write a poem to save my life.

So....

How much is good health necessary for 'encouraging the Muse' and for writing?

Has anyone written anything worthwhile when ill?
