Friendship

Friendship

A friendship born when passages in time become fused
Fleetingly two souls share that instant
Reaching for that same door
Commonality now made
This commodity, a jewel in a thorny crown
In a devolving society where the family unit becomes one
Institutions lay scattered to the corners of the yard
Like confetti playing on a breeze
Friendships form, sometimes by chance
Reach for that common ground and nurture
The course of life meanders from spring to estuary
Tributaries joint from either side
Forcing a change from centres true aim
A hand reaches out for that same door
Two souls become as one
Share a moment and together move on
