Cryogenic in vinyl

Cryogenic in vinyl

The swaying, sweating masses
mosh, scream idolise
In time to popular tunes
Heaving, pushing plastic plumes to number one
in chart invincible rise
a man
lead singing looks
a chiselled chin crux
they sculptured up
a dashing darling
a dandy of pop
a singing man

in time king of the world

Painful to watch
a stamen stitch drop,
bull china shop,
powder prop of his nose.
he's all over the place
Weeping sad, seeping sap,
to heal dance tip top toes
-He’s stumbling these days.
The last chance avenue $
The lonely stage walk
back on track
talk tricks
first fast fix you now
for food, almost inflatable
Patch hole, repair, the rubber soul shoe
Flopping, a leathered tongue
Cant sing, rebel
a pollen dusted devil
plays with the treble on his amp
and his mincing walk
semi camp these days
Humbly my son, humbly
fall

for

teenage fans bought bricks
and mortar
And walls,
and post residential halls,
Forgot the stage antic,
Diving falls for fun,
Forgot the fashion, became the mother
spawned sun
Of all of this.
Goodbye chiselled man
death a porcelain pan
tragic, flash,choking, fatter
over water older,almost
comical
pressed clippings and photographs
within a little folder
In a loft.

I went up there this afternoon
in sunshine
Brushed dust off a sleeve
faded face
vinyl forty five, saving grace for me ,
god
bring him back
flooding not flushing
music again alive
fantastic sequin suits
forgotten
rushing memories return
curiosity for b sides
needle, repetitive disc,
hypnotic flip,
slip,
Scratch me chaotic.
He has come alive, a flickering flame
static.
crackles in cryogenic cries
Of vinyl
