A whale of a time at the Tudor

A big thanks to Isobel and Joy for the hugely enjoyable time we had at the Tudor last Thursday! Their compering skills are getting increasingly competent!
The gig was very well attended, with poets experienced and new showcasing their different styles to great effect. Old poems, new poems, sad poems funny poems..... you name it, the spoken word ruled!
A huge thanks to Isobel for my lovely whale prize. The blow up one is sooo cute my two little grandchildren love it (and a hats off to John for managing to keep the secret hidden until the next Tudor)Although I have to say knowing Isobel anything blownup could have been a lot worse than a huge plastic whale!
Im sure Dave and Rachel will join me in saying it was a night to remember!

It was. A Tudor classic. I'm still smiling and so (6 days later) is the blow-up whale. Camping would have been a lot more fun if airbeds kept their pressure like that.

Dave - I forgot to give you your brass baby whale - can't think what made me so forgetful on the night ;)

It was a great night - good atmosphere, great variety of poets and plenty of listeners as well as spouters :)

If I get a minute, I'll try to post some photos up in galleries.

Glad everyone enjoyed themselves as much as me! xx

There are some photos up in galleries. If I've missed anyone off it's because I had problems loading them - give me a nudge if you're missing and I'll add you.
