Poetry in Word: An evening with Brent Poet Laureate, Simon Mole and guests
Brent is excited to announce its first Poet Laureate –Simon Mole. Join Simon and special guests Inua Ellams, John Agard and Warsan Shire for a fantastic evening of poetry and spoken word. Simon’s poems are shared with listeners in a way that pushes them to make their own meanings. Born in Nigeria, Inua Ellams is an internationally touring poet, playwright and performer with sell-out runs at The National Theatre; John Agard is a celebrated and much loved Afro-Guyanese playwright, poet and children's writer; Warsan Shire is a Somali poet, writer, spoken word artist and slam champion.
