All aboard, for a new open mic night in Sheffield that shakes the dust off the shelves and casts off the all those anchors that tell you that spoken word is for wimps. This is poetry with bite, spoken word with soul, we’re putting on a night featuring the best local and national headliners, and opening the floor for the creative community of Sheffield to show us what they got. Stirring up a spoken word movement in the North through a theatrical extravaganza that’s unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before, and that includes that weekend in Belgium.
This is not open Mic, this is the Shipping Forecast open Mic, and it’s about the get wet, so pack your wellies.
