After plenty of planning, and several false-starts, I can now announce that Bolton School's Open Mic Evening will take place on the evening of 16th MARCH 2012:
"Old Girl Anna McCrory returns from Oxford University for one night only to perform with her trademark self-deprecating wit."
Equipped with a microphone, a few hundred seats, PLENTY of free refreshments and incredible performers (but most importantly, the refreshments), this informal evening promises to be unmissable in the Bolton School calendar. The majority of this evening of poetry and music will be dedicated to an Open Mic. Slots of five minutes maximum are now available for ANY poet, singer or musician OF ANY AGE (it's not merely for students); a piano will be located in the hall.
**Tickets cost £3 for general concessions, but a reduced £2 for any Open Mic performers and WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM MONDAY 4TH MARCH. Please email ael@boys.bolton.sch.uk for tickets/ for an Open Mic slot**
*Doors open at 18:30, for a 19:00 start. *
The evening will conclude at between 21:00 - 30.
