Two teams of the performance poets battle out to see who can claim the prize, Love or Lust? November slam will be the last at the Tyneside Cinema as we take our Christmas break. The rules are simple each team member will perform their piece advocating love or lust, the judges will vote and we will eliminate two poets ever round until only two are left to battle it o ut. Who will win? Love or Lust?
Plus… we are thrilled (thanks to the support of Apples and Snakes) to add to the line-up of the Slam a guest appearance of the fabulous Cath Drake.
Cath Drake is an Aussie lured to London in 2001 who has been published in anthologies and magazines in UK, Australia and US. She has performed in cafes, bookshops, theatres, festivals, at Southbank, Tate Modern, and for unsuspecting passers by - recently performing in a sold out event at the Bloomsbury Theatre headlined by comics Stuart Lee, John Hegley and Kevin Eldon. http://cathdrake.wordpress.com/
