Karen Solie & John Burnside reading and in conversation

Don’t miss this special FREE event in St Andrews, presenting two prize winning poets reading together.

We are delighted to announce an evening of readings and conversation with Karen Solie, the acclaimed Canadian poet and winner of the Griffin International Prize, and John Burnside, winner of this year’s Forward Prize for Poetry in an event arranged in partnership with the Barns-Graham Charitable Trust and The School of English at the University of St Andrews.

Karen Solie, a leading Canadian poet, made a big impression when she read at StAnza 2010, and she went on to win the Canadian Griffin prize for her collection, Pigeon. She is currently visiting Fife as the inaugural holder of the Barns-Graham Charitable Trust/School of English International Writers Residency.

She will be reading with John Burnside whose latest volume, Black Cat Bone, was published earlier this year and recently won him the Forward Prize for Poetry.

To reserve a seat, email info@stanzapoetry.org not later than Friday 11th November with your name and contact phone number. Doors open at 6.40pm. NB Reserved seats must be claimed by 6.45pm at the latest.
