The Word’s a Stage
The Word’s a Stage is a scratch show that does more than just scratch the surface. It’s where we place the spoken-word centre-stage. No props, no faffing around with the lighting rig. Four poets present four new pieces of writing that they’ve bashed into shape over a series of masterclasses with top poetry producer Mike Kirchner (Lemn Sissay’s Something Dark, Aoife Mannix’s Growing Up an Alien).
Join Kathryn O’Reilly, G.R.E.Ed.S., Kemi Taiwo and Ollie Brown as they whip the wraps off their writing. Sonneteers will turn storytellers, and poems morph into monologues before your very eyes.
The word’s a stage and all the men and women merely players. Ah, but what players...
