Word Life takes over one of Opus Acoustic's daily slots at The Riverside with free poetry and music at one of Sheffield's most intimate performance venues. Featuring a live Acoustic act, featured poets, open mic, wine and cheese boards, real ale, and writing games including the quote quest and the collective story.


Featuring:

Kayo Chingonyi is a poet, performer, workshop facilitator, events promoter and compere based in London. He completed an undergraduate dissertation on the American poet Saul Williams at the University of Sheffield. He has performed his work at venues as diverse as Buckingham Palace, Shakespeare’s Globe, Tate Modern and Soho Theatre as well countless live venues in London, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield.

Matt Mcateer is one of Sheffield's top performance poets, having performed at Vocal, Speakeasy, Northern Lights and Edinburgh Festival.

Joe Kriss runs 'Word Life', is creative editor of Now Then Magazine and has performed at Sheffield City Hall, Winter Gardens, Lantern Theatre and The Tate Modern.
