Brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, lovers and rebels.THE BRIGHT SIDE is back this August to entertain and break the social boundaries of which you are all far too used to. Join us once again to drink, listen and be merry. Not forgetting the infamous raffle.

Mark Niel: A poet for people who don’t like poetry. Mark has won slams at Bristol, Wenlock and Ledbury Poetry Festivals. His material ranges from deeply personal reflections to heartfelt rants about his frequently misspelt name or the frustrations of Fridges in shared houses.

Melinda Deathgoth:Brace yourself for America's secret weapon of mass depression. Melinda Deathgoth is on the run from a Texan mental institution and is determined to make you share in her disappointment with life in general via the form of uncompromising and sinister verse. Leave your optimism at the door, its time to embrace the pain!

MulletProofPoet: Professional performance poet, writer and middle aged mod, hailing from Nottingham, where he skilfully avoids bullet holes, alcoholism and the dole queue.

All held together with a tight piece of rope by your splendid compère: Mr Steve Rooney.

Price: £3.00

Time: 8:00pm
