There will be a cash prize of £70 for the winner, with runner up prizes up for grabs too. Last year's event was standing room only, so get there early for a seat.
A new 'knock-out' format will be used this year, with 16 poets facing off in a World Cup knock-out style competition with one poet up against another to go through to the next round and work their way to the final. This will be a hard slam to win with poets needing to be on top of their game throughout. Good luck to all!

Please note that there will be no Write Out Loud open mic event in Wigan this month.
